Adult Black and White Suri female and mated to our coloured stud, Due Autumn 2026. Loves food, loves to be hand-fed and is always alert and expressive. Born in 2020.

All alpacas have been raised with daily handling and are very comfortable around people. They love being hand-fed and are often seen lounging nearby during our workshops and daily farm routines.

They’re very easy to manage thanks to our regular care routine, which includes nail trimming, drenching, vitamins, vaccinations, and fecal egg counts (FECs). They also participate in our Introduction to Alpacas workshop each month, so they’re accustomed to new faces and gentle interaction.

Alpacas thrive in pairs or, even better, small herds of three or more, so if you're starting, we’d be happy to discuss the best options for your setup. A discount is offered when you purchase four or more alpacas.

Exciting News from Little Valley Farm!

It’s been a busy and rewarding month here at the farm—we’ve found new homes for our beautiful boys (wethers) and female alpacas! We love seeing them go to loving owners, but we’re taking a short break from sales for now. If you’ve been thinking about adding some alpacas to your life, don’t worry—autumn will bring new arrivals! We have several births due and will be offering some of our gorgeous females with their cria (baby alpacas) for sale later in the year. Want to be the first to know? **Please note that we don’t sell baby alpacas. They will be sold with their mothers or until we do the weaning after 6-7 months of age. A wait list is essential for this.

We are currently treating them, and they have recently been shorn, so the skin is healing from being over-fleeced in the hot weather. We will provide the buyer with a care package including vitamins and instructions to help the alpacas to continue to thrive. They will also require a couple of injections for vitamins. $ POA. Wethers Alpacas

This young male alpaca (pictured) embodies gentleness and calmness. Coming up to 12 months old, he will soon undergo castration with the help of a vet. He will be available to go to his new home after our shearing on 20th September 2024. Frame size is petite. We also have a white Huacaya wether alpacas that is medium size and plays the role of big brother.

Female Huacaya

This alpaca is a young female with a petite/medium-sized frame and beautiful, dense white fleece. She is not shy when it comes to food and prefers not to share. She is quiet at first and then gently warms up to people. Beautiful fleece that we have worked with and handspin into stunning skeins. She has been mated to our certified stud and possibly due early February, but we can re-test this at a later date. 2.5 years old.

Gentle Female

Our enchanting girl is a picture of serenity and charm. With her calm nature and early halter training, she is a delightful addition to any home. Her gentle gaze reflects pure joy, and she is the perfect companion for someone with other alpacas.

Friendly alpacas that will happily eat out of your hand and come running for lucern hay. They are very expressive girls, and I have spent much time with them. They are also easy to handle.

We offer monthly alpaca farming workshops so you can learn before you start your own alpaca journey. We also sell an agricultural guide to alpacas, which can be purchased from our shop cart.

We do not sell alpacas as guards because they are not a match for (wild) dogs and often get injured or slaughtered by them. We care about our alpacas and won't put them in that situation.

To prevent overgrazing and ensure proper grass recovery, we divide our large pastures into smaller paddocks and rotate our alpacas through them. This practice not only enhances the health of our pastures but also improves the nutritional quality of forage available to our herd. To express your interest, email us and provide details about you and your farm.

Please ensure you have the correct pens and shelters and know what is needed/required if you have crias or birthing dam. Dam and Cria are to be together until the weaning time (6 months), then agree to have the vet castrate the male at the appropriate age. Rescue Alpaca

We rarely rescue alpacas, but we take them in to help out whenever we can. We aim to restore their health, address trust issues, and teach them to interact with other alpacas and humans again.

I spend a significant amount of time building trust and desensitising the alpacas. This is crucial for us to be able to calmly handle them, trim their nails, shear them, and administer vaccinations and vitamins. It's this level of care that helps them thrive once again in the paddocks.

RESCUE alpaca is for rehoming to the right home and not for breeding. She came into our care several months ago. She is a are great girl who has bonded with me over the last several months, and now it is time for a forever home. An adoption fee applies. Write to us about why you would like to adopt.

Stud Lieutenant

Our working stud is available for matings here on our property. With this outstanding fleece, colour, and temperament, his genetics will suit families who want to grow their alpaca herd.

Born July 2019. Certified stud male medium grey registered with the Australian Alpaca Association.

AAA NSW Region - First Place Blue Ribbon 2022 and second place in April 2022, thanks to Kobler Alpacas.

We have a wonderful female alpaca with a calm and cool personality. Over the years, she has given birth to a couple of beautiful cria, and this will be her final birth at our farm. Sisters Tamworth are petite in size with lovely white fleece. Shy but gentle, they will come and eat out of your hand once they are comfortable with you.

They were matched with our coloured stud, Lieutenant, and are expected to give birth in early to mid-2024.

If you plan to have a birth on your farm, it is essential to be well-informed and prepared with proper sheds, pens, and shelter. Additionally, it is essential to have your cria kit ready and to be up to date regarding the alpaca's body score during pregnancy.

If you would like your vet to perform an ultrasound, you are welcome to do so at your own expense.

DOB September 2015 This Suri female is a wonderful alpaca who gave birth to a cria 7 months ago. She would be best suited for a small herd as she is shy around food and often gets pushed out by larger alpacas. Despite this, she is a sweetie pie and would thrive in a smaller herd where she can feel more comfortable. She will eat out of your hand once she knows you as she is not people shy - just pushy alpacas.

We just finished our annual shearing, and now we have some fantastic alpacas available for purchase.

We're excited to announce that we have:

The herd includes two hembras and one weanling, and they're being sold together as they're very bonded.

  • Age April 2014, May 2014 and the cria Jan 2023

Males (wethers) Suri

We also have two weanlings, both eight months old, that will need to be castrated at the appropriate age of 12-18 months. I'll give you more information about this in person.

Our weanlings are perfect for halter training and are at the prime age of 6-7 months. All of our alpacas are handled with care, so they're friendly and calm around humans. They'll follow me around the paddock and are happy to be hand-fed.

We don’t sell guards as our alpacas are friendly. If you live in wild dog territory, you will need to ensure the alpacas are safe 24 hours and we are happy to talk more about this. They are OK with foxes but NOT dogs.

Alpaca farming in South America is primarily concentrated in the high-altitude regions of Southern Peru, Bolivia, and Chile. However, Australia has emerged as the largest alpaca herd outside of South America, with an impressive herd size of approximately 400,000.*

Why are there so many different names for alpacas?

The classification and terminology for an alpaca's life stages in Australia have been modified to incorporate both South American and Australian phrasings.

 Newborn to 6 months of age: Cria (pronounced cree-ah)

 6 months to 12 months: Weaner / Weanling

 12 months to sexual maturity: Tui (pronounced too-ee)

 Breeding female: Hembra / Dam

 Breeding male: Machos / Entire / Sire

 Castrated male: Wether

Our Little Valley Farm Alpacas

Our alpacas are all up to date on vaccination, drenching and annual Spring shearing. FECs are done regularly, and notes are all recorded. Our alpacas are handled regularly and are all friendly. We run a monthly body score check as well as vitamins and supplementary feeding, and trim their toe nails regularly. If you are new to the world of alpacas, we recommend you attend a workshop to ensure you have the correct paddock, shed, shelter and nutritional and welfare information at hand. Our alpacas are sold to people who have completed our alpaca workshop. We do not sell crias - baby alpacas nor do we sell just one alpaca, and certainly, we do not sell bottle-fed crias. Please do not ask us.

Alpaca sales 2022

Due to the July floods, we had to postpone alpaca viewings due to lack of road access. We will resume purchase viewings in September 2022.

We have petite white females currently for sale. Price from $850 + GST.

Whites for sale

We have friendly females looking for a loving forever home.

White, Female, Huacaya. Age from two years old. Petite medium-sized frame, friendly and quiet girls. Beautiful dense fleece and well worth spinning and using. Maybe pregnant, we will do the spit-off test Spring/Summer. Photos were taken in June after the rain.

You may organise a pick-up via a fully enclosed horse float, we can deliver depending on your location, or we can organise a transport company at your cost and arrangement.

Browns for Sale - SOLD

Three alpacas. To be sold as a trio.

1 x Brown Adult Female.

1 x Brown Adult Female with white male cria at foot.

Non-breeding females. Empty. The male cria will need to be castrated at the appropriate age. We are selling as a trio; they must all stay together as they bonded.

We ask all potential owners to attend a workshop before selling our wonderful alpacas. Please ensure you do your research about breeding alpacas or join our workshop coming up in May. We are always happy to mentor new alpaca owners. I will add photos shortly. Alpacas for Sale Hunter Valley

UPDATE: These two beautiful girls have sold - April 2022.

Two (2) female Huacaya white for sale. $1300 each includes GST.

They are bonded together and are great friends and need to stay together.

All are friendly and will eat out of your hand. Petite frame and lovely natured with those big brown eyes that will melt your heart. These alpacas are not timid and really enjoy human interaction. They will be good with kids.

Date of birth Jan 2018 and Jan 2017.

Sold as pets and are not registered and are not for breeding.

Alpacas are herd animals and must be with other alpacas. Alpacas can live longer than 20 years so please take this into consideration if you are new to alpacas please do your research first or join our alpaca workshop.

The delivery time frame for these alpacas will be April-May 2022.

Delivery possible for certain locations and charged at reasonable rates.

Payment Plan to grow your alpaca herd

From early 2022 we will be introducing our new Alpaca Payment Plan for our VIP LVF members.

Our payment plan will help you grow your herd or add a few more alpacas to your breeding program. If you are just starting out on the farm, this option is a great way to start your breeding or alpaca journey.

VIP members are a special group of people that have already purchased from us and want to continue growing their herd. It also includes those who have completed an alpaca workshop with us.

You will be able to come and select your future alpacas. We will schedule payments over an eight-week payment plan. Payment in full is required before your scheduled delivery date.

If you are not ready with your farm, fencing or shelter, we also run short term agistment at $25 per week, excluding annual Spring shearing costs. Talk to us about this option.

If you are looking for friendly alpacas please drop us an email and let us know what you are looking for ie., breeding girls, young alpacas over 6 months or guard alpacas. Please note 'Wethers (castrated alpacas) are best as guards. Please do not use an entire male for guarding and do your research on males before you purchase them to ensure they have been trained properly and have the correct temperament and do not have or develop down the track Berserk Male Syndrome.

* When you purchase young males from us we highly recommend that new purchasers have them castrated by the vet at the appropriate age. We will offer $150 each per wether once they have been castrated and proof of invoice by the vet is sent to us. We will call and confirm this via your registered vet no matter where in NSW you are located.
