There are lots you can create from alpaca fleece besides spinning it. Below are some craft ideas to get you started. Read more below on what we create with our short (length) fleece.
Please note that our crafty alpaca yarn is the perfect fleece to start your craft projects with. There will always be some form of vegetation matter (VM) and dust, as alpacas love to roll around in the grass and dirt. This is fleece direct from the alpaca that has not been processed but party skirted. If you are looking for spinning fleece please re-visit our shopcart for this. Approx. 1 kg of alpaca fleece per bag per order.
Fleece for birdlife to make their nests out of. Place it in a birdcage and hang it around your garden for the birds to enjoy.
Fleeces with a lot of vegetation matter (VM) can be placed in a worm farm or compost heap or used as a layer in your soil beds.
Create felted dryer balls for your clothes dryer.
Felting via wet or needle pin small toys.
