The Studio

Please read the text below to ensure this cabin is right for you. We are a remote, off-grid working farm that loves making unique spaces for guests. We prefer authenticity to luxury and don’t mind that our valley has more wildlife than ‘modern conveniences’.

We call this a SLOW-STAY experience where exploration is a big part of the fun, so get back to basics and enjoy nature at Little Valley Farm.

If you are not adventurous or eco-conscious souls who enjoy being away from the masses and slightly remote, then we are not for you. Please do not book this if you are not confident in fire safety management for the fireplace & sauna. Sleeps 2 adults.

The space

The STUDIO is located up the hill, just a short walk and above our MACHINERY SHED. It is approximately 100 meters from our vintage train, where other guests stay. Our house is 50 meters away and is surrounded by trees, offering privacy, but it's NOT a completely isolated cabin.

The cabin that Euan built

Our Studio is a spacious room featuring stunning reclaimed Red River Gum timber panelling, a cozy King Bed, a warm fireplace, a private sauna, and a small kitchenette for your convenience. Enjoy the picturesque view of our working farm's front paddocks from the large deck attached to the Studio.

The Studio is located above a large machinery shed and is elevated six meters off the ground, providing stunning views of sunsets over the dam. It's an ideal spot to relax and pass the time.

The King Bedroom has six French doors that lead to a spacious balcony, providing ample natural light and distant views. It also features a wood fireplace, perfect for cozy nights during the colder months.

The bathroom has a rain shower with a glass wall that opens to private bushland. Additionally, you have access to a private wood-fired sauna. You can access this area through a private open-air walkway, where you may spot some local wildlife below.

The kitchenette has a mini fridge (no freezer), a coffee maker, and an air fryer. However, cooking facilities are not available, and BBQs are not allowed. We recommend dining at nearby restaurants or ordering takeout from local establishments.

Bring boots or INDOOR and outdoor shoes as it's muddy on the paddocks, especially if you want to feed the alpacas.

**Winter will be cold, and summer can be sweltering outside - so please be prepared for the elements and watch the weather forecasts.

We are not near the large vineyards; they are 40 mins away. This is a getaway, a secluded off-grid farming experience, or if you prefer crowds and easy access to vineyards, Pokolbin or Lovedale is probably better for you.

Our Studio facilities were fitted out using recycled and upcycled materials. We sourced great old timbers from Wagga Wagga via a Balmoral Beach apartment and numerous timbers via auctions and private timber mills. Nothing is mass-produced except the exterior steel shell.

We are a working farm, so you will see us moving about the farm. You can get involved in as little or as much as you like. Our farm is secluded and great for a digital detox, plus it's a great escape from all the touristy attractions. Other guests will be staying in the train (150m away), and we may need to work outside with the alpacas on weekends. However, with 50 acres, there is plenty of room for everyone.
