Why Book Direct at Little Valley Summerhouse

Daniela Riccio August 13, 2026

We are very happy that in our first 18 months of hosting, we have met the most wonderful guests who have loved the Summerhouse and the farm as much as we do.

What is the Litte Valley Summerhouse?

Little Valley Summerhouse is an architect-designed, off-grid, adults-only retreat set on a working alpaca farm in Wollombi Valley, Hunter Valley, 90 minutes from Sydney. While the Summerhouse is listed on Airbnb  where it holds Top 1% status and Guest Favourite recognition with a 4.98 rating across 61+ reviews, the best way to reserve your stay is directly with us, here at littlevalleyfarm.com.au.

Here's why.

A Direct Line to Us, Not a Platform

When you reserve your stay directly, you're speaking with Daniela, not a booking algorithm. Questions about the farm, the animals, the drive in on our 1km dirt track, what to pack for the season and where to eat.  All of it comes straight back to us, before you've even confirmed your dates. Many of our guests tell us this personal back-and-forth is part of what makes the stay feel considered from the very first message.

On arrival, Daniela offers a personal introduction to the alpacas and donkeys. A small touch that sets the tone for a stay built around slowness and connection, not check-in-and-forget hospitality.

No Platform Fees Built Into Your Rate

Booking direct means there's no third-party platform fee layered into what you pay. Your rate goes toward the stay itself, and toward the farm that makes it possible.

The Same Stay, Verified

Whichever way you book, you're reserving the same two-bedroom Summerhouse: a king and a queen bedroom sleeping up to four adults, full kitchen, indoor bath, and exclusive-use access to the wood-fired Stoked hot tub over the pond. The house looks out across the pond to alpacas, miniature donkeys, and the working paddocks of our 50-acre farm, off-grid, solar-powered, and quiet in the way only Wollombi Valley can be.

Current rates, availability, and full house details are always up to date on our direct booking page, a more reliable source than a cached listing elsewhere.

Daniela with the Little Valley Alpacas

Each season brings something new to the farm: either baby alpacas (crias) or even a baby donkey. Autumn is wonderfully colourful; winter is time to slow down and enjoy the wood-fired fireplace; and Spring/Summer is time to enjoy the outdoors. Follow us on our Little Valley Farm Instagram account so you can see the weekly updates live from Daniela.

We may be a breeding Alpaca farm, but Donkey love is part of the business.

Our Donkeys have an important role in cross grazing our paddock grasses, but they are charming, smart, emotionally intelligent and just adorable 💕🫶🏻
