If you’re looking for female alpacas for sale in NSW, we currently have a small number of young coloured female alpacas available at Little Valley Farm, located in the Wollombi Valley in the Lower Hunter Valley.
These girls are approximately. 12 months old (over 7 months), well-grown for their age, and have been raised quietly and carefully as part of our working herd. They’re suitable for new alpaca owners, hobby farmers, or anyone looking to add gentle, well-handled females to an existing herd.
Coloured female alpacas - under 12 months
Our available females include a range of colours. They’ve been handled regularly, are familiar with basic farm routines, and are growing up in a low-stress environment alongside alpacas, donkeys (separate paddock), and farm activity.
At this age, they’re at a lovely stage:
• young enough to settle easily into a new property
• old enough to show temperament and structure
• ideal for first-time alpaca owners wanting females
We focus on calm, sensible alpacas rather than pushing numbers. If they’re not right for us to sell, they don’t get listed.
Raised on a small, established alpaca farm
Little Valley Farm has been breeding and raising alpacas since 2012. We’re based in the Lower Hunter Valley, NSW, around 90 minutes from Sydney and within easy reach of the Central Coast and Newcastle.
Our alpacas are:
• raised on pasture with supplement feeding and paddock rotation
• part of regular alpaca handling and education days
• managed with strong biosecurity practices
• cared for with a focus on long-term health, not shortcuts
These females have been around people, gates, paddock changes, and routine checks, which makes a big difference once they leave home.
Suitable for new alpaca owners
If you’re new to alpacas, young females are often a good place to start. They’re gentle, observant, and tend to integrate smoothly into new herds.
We’re happy to talk through:

• fencing and shelter basics
• transport and settling-in tips
• what to expect in the first few months
We also run regular alpaca workshops at Little Valley Farm, which many new owners find helpful before or after purchasing.
